GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 
2 lb. ground beef
2 (1 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper
2 1/2 c. water
1 c. uncooked rice
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 c. green peas

Brown beef and drain. Blend in onion soup mix and seasonings. Add water and rice. Bring to a boil, then simmer 15 minutes. Stir in water chestnuts and peas and cook 10 minutes more until rice is cooked.
