SURPRISE CARAMEL CAKE 
1 box yellow or chocolate cake mix

FILLING:

1 stick butter
14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
1 can Eagle Brand milk

Prepare cake mix according to box instructions. Put 1 cup cake mix in 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan (well greased and floured). Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. While cake is baking, melt caramels in butter. When caramels are completely melted, stir in can of eagle brand milk. Pour caramel filling over baked cake. Add remainder of cake mix over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
