HAMBURGER BUNS 
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 eggs
1 pkg. yeast
About 5 c. flour

Dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 package yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Mix shortening, water, sugar and salt and cool to lukewarm. Add a little of the flour. Mix well. Add beaten eggs, mix again. Add yeast mixture. Mix well. Add enough flour to it to make soft dough.

Knead in oil. Let rise about 3 hours. Knead down. Let rise again. Shape into buns. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
