MRS. B.'S WALNUT CAKE 
1 lb. raisins, boiled 15 minutes in 2 c. water
1/2 c lard
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. walnut kernels
1 c. cold water

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Bake for 1 hour at 375 degrees.
