CORN DOGS 
1 c. self rising
Flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2/3 c. cornmeal
2 tbsp. shortening, melted
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 lb. hot dogs

Mix flour, sugar and meal. Add shortening and blend well; add egg. Mix well. Batter should be very thick. Roll hot dogs in batter and fry in deep fryer. Hot dogs should not be frozen. Have at room temperature.
