WALNUT STUFFING BALLS | |
6 c. dry bread cubes 3/4 c. butter 1 c. celery, chopped with leaves 1 c. onion, chopped 1 c. walnuts, chopped 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/3 c. chicken broth 1 egg Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix bread crumbs, walnuts, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Saute onion and celery in butter until soft but not browned. Toss with bread cube mixture. Beat in egg with a little of the chicken broth; add to bread mixture. Shape mixture into 2 inch balls and top each with a walnut half if desired. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 25 minutes. |
