CROCK POT SCALLOPED POTATOES 
12 med. potatoes
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Peel and chop or slice potatoes. Cook in water to cover for 3 minutes; drain. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon into crock pot. Cook on high 3 hours. 10 servings.

To those fussing about people posting their recipe changes. Actually it IS a good thing. IF people are taking the time to review one recipe... does not mean they will necessary follow additional recipes that are renamed something different and maybe have no tie to the one you are reviewing. Posts simply provide other options. It is actually a great benefit.

WOW! Everyone cooks with what we have on hand, don't we? I agree that if more than a couple changes to the original recipe are made it is time to post a new version... but, a little extract here, a little brown sugar there.. Come on...

Sorry Bessler, I stick with my statement. If you change anything about the recipe, then your review is null and void. Most of the reviews indicate changes to the original recipe so readers are left wondering "is the original worth making"?

Very easy and very good! I doubled the amount of cheese, using the mixed monterey jack and cheddar cheese, also used cream of mushroom soup instead. Stir occasionally so all the potatoes cook evenly. Frees up the oven, goes well with prime rib!!

I use mild cheddar jack cheese instead of cheddar. One small onion is perfect and no measuring required!

I used this recipe but replaced the chicken soup with cream of mushroom, and used 1/2 cup of red onion instead of 1/4 cup and they came out amazing!! Best scalloped potatoes i've ever had!
