OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick roll
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream together 1 cup brown sugar, white sugar, butter, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add to oats and mix well. Then add sifted flour, cinnamon, salt, and soda. Mix well. Bake in 10 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

ICING:

4 tbsp. butter
1 c. coconut
1 c. brownm sugar
1/2 c. cream or canned milk

Mix ingredients. Spread on top of cake. Place in oven and broil until icing is bubbly.
