DAVIS FAMILY PICKLED EASTER EGGS | |
2 dozen eggs 2 cups water 2 pints vinegar (white is best for coloring) 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. salt food coloring (we like green, red and yellow) Boil eggs for 15 minutes. Cool. Bring to a boil: water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Pour approx 12 oz. vinegar mixture into a quart jar. Add desired food coloring. Add 8 eggs (peeled). Add more liquid if needed. Seal jar. Repeat with remaining two jars. Let cool. Refrigerate. Makes 3 quarts. Submitted by: Craig Davis |
