PESTO AND CREAM CHEESE ROUND 
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped
1/3 c. parmesan cheese
1/4 c. pine nuts, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
1/8 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/4 c. olive oil
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tbsp. boiling water
Pimento strips for garnish (optional)

Shape cream cheese into a circle on serving dish; set aside. Combine parsley and next nine ingredients and stir well. Spoon onto cream cheese round. Garnish if desired. Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Serve with crackers or toasted pita triangles.
