1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Dissolve soda in boiling water, pour over raisins - let stand. Blend sugar, cocoa, nutmeg and cinnamon with mayonnaise. Add flour and salt alternately with raisins and water to mayonnaise mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in 10 x 10 inch square pan for 35 minutes in 350 degree oven.
