HERBED CHEESE BREAD 
1 (1 lb.) loaf French bread
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. poppy seeds
8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Score bread in a diamond design, cutting to, but not through bottom crust of bread.

Combine butter, parsley, onion and poppy seeds. Place cheese slices in slits in bread. Drizzle butter mixture over bread. Wrap bread in aluminum foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
