GOLDEN HERB CHEESE BREAD 
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
1 pkg. yeast
1/3 to 1/2 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oil
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. parsley, minced
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
Flour

Combine yeast with warm water. Add milk, sugar, salt, part of flour, egg, and beat well. Mix in cheese and herbs. Add remaining flour and knead. Let rise until light. Punch down. Let rise 40 more minutes. Sprinkle with cornmeal. Gash the top and brush with butter. Sprinkle with cornmeal.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in two loaf pans.
