CANADIAN TEA CAKES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. soft butter
1 tbsp. sugar

2ND LAYER:

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
Pinch salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten

3RD LAYER:

1 box powdered sugar
1/4 c. soft butter

1ST LAYER: Cut together as for pie crust. Spread in shallow 7 x 10 inch pan. Bake slowly until done.

2ND LAYER: Mix all ingredients and spread on baked crust and bake in moderate oven about 25 minutes. Cool in pan.

3RD LAYER: Mix butter and sugar, adding enough milk to spread. Makes about 40 small squares.
