GINGER SNAPS (Grandma D's) | |
3/4 c. shortening/butter 1 c. sugar 1/3 c. Brer Rabbit molasses 1 egg, well beaten 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. ginger Cream shortening/butter. Add sugar a little at a time. Add remaining ingredients. Chill dough. Roll into small balls, dip in sugar. Place sugar side up and flatten with the bottom of a large glass. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown. (For variety add oatmeal.) Bake for 12 minutes. |
