Spinach, well washed
Crisp bacon, drained and crumbled
Blue cheese, crumbled
Fresh apples, peeled and chunked
Sliced red onion
Water chestnuts and bean sprouts

Just before serving mix with a good oil and vinegar dressing to which a little ketchup and sugar have been added (optional). Serve at barbecues; can be increased to serve more people easily.
