GERMAN CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
1 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 beaten egg

Cook over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Add: 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts 1 tsp. vanilla

Stir well. Spread on cooled chocolate cake. Mixture will thicken upon cooling.
