MAYPO OATMEAL CRISPIES 
1 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs (lg.)
1 tsp. vanilla (pure)
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. quick oats
1 1/2 c. Maypo cereal
1/2 c. currants, packed
1/2 c. coconut, packed

Cream first three ingredients together. Add 2 eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture. Mix oatmeal, Maypo, currants and coconut; stir into batter. Chill for 1 hour and form into balls (size of walnut). Put on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. 4 1/2 dozen.
