3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 c. corn flakes
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
2 tsp. shortening

Beat egg whites with a dash of salt and vanilla to soft peaks. Slowly add sugar, beat stiff. Stir in cereal, coconut and nuts.

Drop from teaspoon onto well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Remove cookies immediately. Melt chocolate and shortening together. Drizzle over cookies.
