JUMBO RAISIN SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nut meats

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes, cool. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add cooled raisins and liquid. Mix in dry ingredients. Fold in nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until just done.
