2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook until mixture boils. Time for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Add vanilla and cool until you can hold your hand on bottom of pan. Beat until thick and spread on cake.
