1 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. water
1 lb. apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, shortening and water. Blend well. Pour batter into 9 inch pie pan. Combine apples, lemon juice and spice. Pour into center of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes.
