CHRISTMAS PECAN NOUGATS | |
1 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. powdered sugar 2 1/4 c. sifted flour 1 c. pecans, chopped Cream together the butter and the powdered sugar. Add vanilla. Blend in flour. Stir in pecans. Chill mixed in the refrigerator at least 2 hours or overnight. Take a teaspoon of dough and form into a small ball. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees until light brown, about 8 minutes. While still warm, place in a brown paper lunch bag containing powdered sugar and heavily coat with powdered sugar. Store in a tight container. Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies. This is a favorite of my family at Christmas time! |
