PECAN CHRISTMAS CAKE 
1 lb. light brown sugar, firmly packed
6 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. all-purpose flour
1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. seeded raisins
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. whole pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Use a little flour to coat raisins. Add salt and baking powder to flour. Add raisins and flour to egg mixture. Add nuts. Bake in a tube pan lined with greased paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Makes 5 pounds.
