SWEET POTATO-APPLE CRISP 
Mix in shallow baking pan or pie plate equal amounts of raw sweet potato and apple, both peeled and cubed, or: 2 medium sweet potatoes, and 4 or 5 apples (may sweetened apples if very tart).

TOPPING:

Equal amounts, or:

1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. oats
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (scant)
1/3 c. butter, melted

Mix well until coarse crumbs form. Spread over sweet potatoes and apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Serves 4. Good with chicken, pork or ham. (Adjust amounts of sweet potatoes and apples (also topping), to suit taste).
