CHERRY DESSERT 
1 pkg. white cake mix
1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 c. chopped nuts
1 stick butter

Spread pie filling evenly on bottom of 9 inch square cake pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pie filling. Sprinkle nuts over dry cake mix and top with sliced butter pieces. Bake at 350 degrees or 45-55 minutes until browned. Chill well. Cut into squares and top with whipped cream. Serves 10-12.
