DUTCH APPLE PIE 
8-9 baking apples, peeled, cored and quartered
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Assemble salad maker. Slice apples using thick slicing disk. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Add remaining ingredients except pastry shell and toss. Put apples into pie shell. Sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake for 1 hour.

CRUMB TOPPING:

2 c. uncooked oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

Assemble blender. Put 1 cup oatmeal into blender container. Process at grind until finely ground. Put into large mixing bowl. Repeat with remaining oatmeal. Put all other ingredients into a mixing bowl. Combine with a pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Yields one 9 inch pie.
