SLOPPY JOE SURPRISE 
1 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 c. cooked brown rice
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can chicken gumbo soup
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
2 tbsp. catsup
2 tbsp. hickory-flavored barbecue sauce
8 whole wheat hamburger buns

Brown ground beef and onions. Drain fat. Add rice, soup, seasonings, catsup and barbecue sauce. Simmer slowly, uncovered, for about 15 minutes. Serve between whole wheat buns. Cook 20 minutes. Yields 8 servings.
