BETTER BAKED BEANS 
2 (1 lb.) cans pork and beans or vegetarian beans
1/4 lb. cooked ham or smoked turkey, diced
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. onion, finely chopped
1 c. pineapple chunks, drained
1/4 c. pineapple juice

Grease a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Spoon 1 can of beans in bottom of dish. Combine ham or smoked turkey, mustard, brown sugar, onion, pineapple and apple juice; spoon over layer of beans and top with the other can of beans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until brown and bubbly on top. Makes 5-6 servings.
