LISA'S CHEESEBURGER PIE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 green pepper, diced 1 small onion, diced seasoned salt Italian seasoning garlic powder 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce (Hunts) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded cheese (your choice though I like "classic melts") 1 can flaky refrigerator biscuits (Pillsbury) Preheat oven to temperature indicated on can of biscuits. Dice green pepper and onion, add to the ground beef in a large skillet, season with above seasonings and brown meat, then drain. Return to skillet and add tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to marry and sauce to thicken. Add meat mixture to casserole or baking dish, top with the whole package of shredded cheese. Flatten out each biscuit with your hands thin enough to make a crust over the meat mixture. Bake in oven until biscuits are browned.
