GALA ITALIAN DINNER 
SAUCE:

2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. oil
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
2 c. water
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/4 tsp. dried basil
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. red pepper, crushed

Cook onions and garlic in oil until yellowed. Add tomato paste, water, tomato sauce, basil, salt, pepper and red pepper. Bring to a boil. Add meatballs and simmer 2 hours.

MEATBALLS:

2 lbs. ground beef
2 onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs soaked in 3/4 c. water
2 eggs
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
