APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. strawberry preserves
2 eggs
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. black walnuts
1 c. pecans
1 box raisins
4 1/2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda mixed in applesauce

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, preserves and applesauce; mix flour and spices together. Add raisins and nuts; mix. Bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees. Wrap in Reynolds wrap until time to serve.
