BLUEBERRY MUFFINS 
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
Dash of salt
1 c. blueberries, drained crushed pineapple, or chopped dates or cranberries

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Mix well, then fold in fruit. Bake in greased muffin pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes, until done. Makes 1 dozen.
