SOUTHERN FRIED OKRA 
1 pkg. frozen non-breaded cut okra, thawed
salt and pepper
3/4 c. flour
3 or 4 c. cooking oil

Sprinkle the okra in a large bowl with salt and pepper as desired. Mix flour with okra and stir gently until well coated. Heat cooking oil until hot and then put okra in it. There should be enough oil so that the okra will cook as individual pieces. Cook 10 to 12 minutes on medium-high until light brown. I dip mine out with a large cooking spoon (with holes) and drain in a metal colander.
