CINNAMON ROLLS | |
6 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 square butter 2 yeast cakes 2 eggs 2 c. scalded & cooled milk Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar. Scald milk with sugar, salt and butter. Cool and add rest of ingredients. Add flour and knead, dough will be sticky. Let raise until double in bulk. Roll out on floured board and spread with melted butter, sugar, cinnamon and raisins and nuts. Roll up and cut, quite thick. Place on greased cookie sheet, far apart, to allow for spreading. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting if desired. |
