STRAWBERRY BAVARIAN 
1 pkg. strawberry Jello
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. ice water
2 (10 oz.) pkg. strawberries, drained
2 c. whipped cream, or 1 carton Cool Whip
1 (10 inch) angel food cake

Dissolve Jello in hot water. Add ice water. Chill until lightly set, then beat until fluffy and starting to thicken. Before beating Jello, have berries thawed and well drained. Save juice or glaze. Fold drained berries in Jello mixture and whipped cream. Cover 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with 1/2 of mixture. Break up angel food cake into small pieces and scatter over Jello mixture, then add rest of Jello. Mix with a fork, work cake lightly in Jello mixture.

GLAZE:

1 c. strawberry juice, add water if needed
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 to 3 drops red food coloring
1 tsp. soft butter

Mix cornstarch with a little juice then to all juice and cook until clear. Remove from heat. Add butter and food coloring. Cool. Spread lightly over mixture. Can be made the day before.
