CHOCOLATE BAVARIAN PIE 
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk, scalded
1 tbsp. or 1 env. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 stiff beaten egg whites
1 c. heavy cream whipped

Combine egg yolks, salt, and sugar. Slowly add milk; cook in double boiler until mixture coats spoon. Add gelatin softened in water; stir until gelatin dissolves. Add vanilla extracts. Fold in egg whites and whip cream. Pour into chocolate wafer crust or regular pie crust. Sprinkled with wafer crumbs. Chill thoroughly.
