GARDEN IN A POT 
10-12 new potatoes, scrubbed
2 lg. handfuls fresh green beans (stemmed, leave whole)
4 or 5 carrots, washed, peeled, chunk
Smoked sausage (10 inch), cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 head fresh cabbage, cut into thirds (leave core stem in to hold leaves together)
4 or 5 sm. onions, cleaned (whole)

Put potatoes and carrots in large pot. Cover with water. Simmer, covered, until 1/2 cooked. Add meat and onions. Lay green beans on top. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Add cabbage wedges and simmer another 15 to 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
