CHOCOLATE SNOWFLAKES
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking powder
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in small bowl. Stir in sugar. Beat eggs, one at a time, in another bowl; add vanilla, melted chocolate (which has been cooled) and melted butter. Add dry ingredients and chopped nuts; batter will be quite stiff. Refrigerate batter for 4-5 hours or overnight.

Roll into balls about 3/4-inch in diameter. Roll balls in powdered sugar. Place balls 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

NOTE: Cookies will scorch easily if baked too long. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
