TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix 1/2 c. butter 1 c. water 1 c. oil 3 eggs 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 1 c. pecans Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Cut butter into cake mix. Add water, oil, eggs and 1/2 can of milk. Pour half of batter into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. While cake bakes, melt caramels in the other half can of milk. Stir in pecans and spread over cake. Add remaining batter and bake another 30 minutes (or longer) at 350 degrees. |
