STRAWBERRY POP CAKE | |
3/4 c. shortening 7 oz. strawberry pop 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. nuts 2 c. sugar 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 5 stiffly beaten egg whites Cream shortening and sugar; add salt and baking powder to sifted flour. Add alternately with pop to creamed mixture. Dampen nuts with a little pop and dust with flour. Add to batter. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 2 (9-inch) layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. |
