CRISP PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

In small bowl, stir flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat butter and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sugar until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture. Beat until well blended. If necessary, refrigerate dough.

Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar, making criss-cross pattern. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool cookies on wire rack. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 6 dozen.
