RHUBARB DUMPLINGS 
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. rhubarb, sliced
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. water

DUMPLINGS:

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

Combine butter, sugar, rhubarb, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and water. Simmer until rhubarb is tender.

Meanwhile, combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, butter, vanilla and milk to make dumpling dough. Drop dough by the tablespoon on top of rhubarb. Cover tightly and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6.
