ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE | |
1/4 c. salad oil 1 chopped onion 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 2 1/2 c. tomato juice 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 lb. ground meat 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 c. Parmesan or grated cheese 1/4 tsp. pepper Saute onion and pepper in oil, add juice and sauce and seasoning. Simmer this for 15 minutes. Brown meat in separate pan stirring often, then add it to the other mixture. Cook about 5 minutes. Pour over 1 (8 oz.) package of cooked spaghetti top with Parmesan cheese. This may be mixed together and topped with cheese and heated in medium oven. |
