SCOTCH BARS 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter
1 egg (or 2 egg yolks)
1 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
Nuts, if desired
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix in order given except for chocolate chips. Bake in 10 x 15 inch cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Immediately pour on chocolate chips. When melted, spread.
