DATE LOGS 
1/2 lb. dates
3/4 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 egg yolks, beaten

Combine and cook 10 minutes or until thickens. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Add to 2 cups Rice Krispies, 1 cup nutmeats. Cool until you can handle, and then form into logs, roll in foil and refrigerate. Slice in thin slices to serve. (The logs can be rolled in powdered sugar if desired.)
