DANISH CREAM PASTRY 
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk (use the white for top)
2 pkg. crescent rolls (8 oz. refrigerated)

In small bowl, blend cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla. Open 1 package crescent roll and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Pinch together. Spread cream cheese mixture on top. Place other package crescent roll on top and pinch together. Brush top with egg white. If desired, for decoration add almonds and maraschino cherries on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Serves 8.
