1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tbsp. warm water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
About 3 c. flour

Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream together. Beat eggs and stir them into butter and sugar. Next, add salt and soda dissolved in warm water, then add vanilla. Sift flour and stir in gradually until dough is stiff enough to roll out. Roll out a portion at a time on floured surface. Roll very thin or desired thickness. Place cookies on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
