RAISIN FILLING 
4 c. raisins
3 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice

In saucepan combine raisins, water, and vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Pour through strainer. Set raisins aside. Reserve the liquid.

Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to hot liquid, mixing with a wire whip until smooth. Continue cooking and stirring at medium temperature until thick (takes a good 10-12 minutes). Remove from heat; add raisins and lemon juice.
