PUMPKIN BREAD 
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. pumpkin
2/3 c. water
2/3 c. nuts
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, pumpkin and water. Mix well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into two greased loaf pans.

Bake one hour.
